Consumers: Changing trends in markets is the consequence of diversified economies. People’s demand vary according to their cultures. This has given rise to the need of diverse workforce in organizations to better understand the preferences of people as well as dealing with them. Consumers want goods and services to be custom -made. As a consumer who is not the native of Canada, I would prefer to deal with those companies which respect my values and cater to my needs.
Work Teams: Nothing can be better than people with varied backgrounds, ethics and cultures coming together to solve an issue. This brings a flexibility in flow of ideas. This facilitates the process of learning from one another. Diverse work team is concerned with sustainability, competence and ownership with in the project team and organization. New hires bring fresh, innovative ideas and a broad range of experience that places the company ahead of others.
Business Organizations: Companies that organize their time and resources in a way to potentially capitalize on diversity will lessen the chances of suffering from discrimination lawsuits, union clashes and other regulatory actions by government. Organizations with positive reputation can better retain employees. Companies that plan to enter an international market benefit from the language diversity and can easily enter into global business world.
